The 16th edition of the LKI-Oncoforum will be held on Friday June 7, 2019.
The LKI-Oncoforum is a co-organization of the Leuven Cancer Institute (LKI) and the Cancer Program of the Doctoral School of Biomedical Sciences. It aims to bring together all basic and clinical cancer researchers to create synergism. It is conceived as a one-day symposium on all aspects of cancer research.
As usual, we will have keynote lectures by internationally renowned scientists. The following speakers have already confirmed:
- Prof. Frédéric Amant, LKI (Leuven, Belgium), Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) and Amsterdam University Medical Centers
Topic: Cancer or pregnancy?
- Prof. Giorgio Inghirami, Weill Cornell Medical College (New York, USA)
Topic: Innovative platforms to dissect the pathogenesis of lymphoproliferative disorders and execute patients’ targeted therapies.
- Prof. Liesbet Lagae, KU Leuven and IMEC (Belgium)
Topic: Modeling cancer on human organ chips.
In addition, novel mass cytometry and phospho-proteomics technology platforms on campus will be presented.
Participation to Oncoforum is free but advanced registration is mandatory.
We invite researchers and clinicians active in fundamental, translational and clinical cancer research to submit an abstract. All abstracts within the meeting scope will be presented as a poster and in a 3 min flash talk during the main meeting sessions. There will be poster sessions with guided poster walks, and prizes will be awarded to the best fundamental, translational and clinical posters.
